Hucci is not a Negative Term
It seems as though a darker skin toned was used, along with a very bodacious shape, to showcase the “Hucci” wear. While I not saying anything was done intentionally, I was just disappointed at the subliminal message that came across to me.
Khitten Kurka commented on the avatar wearing the clothes and the obvious implications. What obvious implications? First of all the clothes are not my designs, House of Hucci is only doing shoes and jewelry at this point. You can tart those up how you please but alone they are hardly “hoochie” wear. I am planning on doing clothes and even maybe skins (who in the hell has red undertones? I sure don’t IRL) and reworking my old hair with flexies and sculpts later this summer. Anyway the clothes aren’t mine and I hardly think a necklace and a shoe spell Hucci, ohh wait! The necklace does spell Hucci. LOL
Hucci has been in Second Life for four years, there is nothing negative about Hucci and no obvious implications. I have been Black in Second Life with a big ass since 2003, nothing has changed about me. Don’t get me started! I always used my avatar as a model even when people told me I would sell better if I used white avatars. I felt I had to stay true and represent who I was and that there are other colors beside 255,255,255.
I have always tried to be edgy and tasteful at the same time. That is what Hucci is about, being over the top while not being tacky. It is a thin line, sometimes we cross it, but most of the time we walk it. I’m Eboni Khan, and House of Hucci is my label. Fierce is the new black!

Working with Sculpts
I have noticed that a lot of sculpted shoes look terrible from a distance. You have to zoom in on the shoe to view it undistorted. These shoes also load terribly slow. I have really been experimenting with sculpts and sculpt maps to make them not only load fast but to also hold their shape from different distances. I am please with the balance I have been able to achieve. We have also decided not to do all detail work in sculpts, this helps objects load faster and there are some things that are simply just better done with a prim.
This is how an un-named designers shoe appears close up and at a distance.
I have conducted a lot of testing to try and avoid this in my sculpts.

Quietly Excited
Working alone in Second life can be great for some but has always been something I am bad at. So Eboni coming back has inspired me to start again with Hucci which was Eboni's baby project back in 2004 that we both worked on. I'm thrilled, because I think over the years we have both grown so much that we both have so much more to offer Second Life as a whole.
I cant tell you how excited I am about starting out again with Hucci. Building is a passion for me, and to bring to life the things I have or want in real life. I'm looking forward to bring much more content back, and definately with a higher standard than before!

Raven Callisto is joining Hucci
We have always liked to blur the line between jewelry and shoes so expect shoes with details that take them just beyond prims covering your feet. Raven and I have always worked well together because we compliment each other in work ethic, talents and style. We both will be posting here, not just about new releases but also about what we love, where we shop, and what inspires us.
Now back to the grind.

The genius of Salvatore Ferragamo
'but if designers must wait for their customers to become
conscious of new styles who, then, determines fashion?…
the answer is: new fashion begin in the mind of the designer.
he must not stifle all his ideas merely because the world is not yeat
ready for them. I have no season”. - Salvatore Ferragamo 1957
